There is only one thing which is pissing me off Ubuntu at the moment and that is non-availability of out-of-box support of various multimedia. Ubuntu/Canonical people say that there is patent restriction. I fail to understand how PCLinuxOS, Mandriva people have got it in their OS??
My problem is something many others might be experiencing too. My office PC is connected to Broadband, so Ubuntu can work wonderfully there. I want my home pc to work with multimedia support too !
So there should be an easy way to download the required codecs from office PC to back home in pen drive.
I actually didn’t dare to do it coz’ one codec is dependent upon other and I might drop in well-known "dependency hell" Anybody have other ideas?
PS: Only because of full multimedia support, PClinuxOS is surging ahead of Ubuntu!!
