So sad to hear about Orissa incidents !! I am disgusted by the acts. I feel people have gone mad. I feel bad to put this at the same thread as the violence in Orissa, but I also feel the evangelists should stop the extreme preaching and hate mongering for Hindus. One should teach Love that Jesus stood for and not ask recent converts to step on Hindu gods pictures and call Shiva a devil. I am all for conversion if it alleviates people for poverty, but conversion has done nothing for the upliftment of Africans. Development should be left for non-religious groups and no foreign money should be allowed for conversion; otherwise there is terrible friction between people with limited resources. On the other hand the vile politicians are using and inciting the ignorant people to kill each other!! How can they call them selves Hindus if they don't identify with Ahimsa. Nothing, absolutely nothing justifies killing another human being....humanism should be above religion, region, caste, color ...everywhere. Everyone, of all religion, should condemn any killing. Why are people breaking India ? We should be proud of our history of all regions and religions...ancient nature worshiping Hindus, St. Thomas Christianity, Sufi Islam, Sikhism, Jainism, Buddhism, and so many more. But all other religions enjoy freedom from government grip and can use it for good purpose (like helping poor and the sick) and misuse (money to poor to convert). When more powerful religious 'godmen/women' affiliated to hinduism use their money for charity and healthcare, they are mocked and ridiculed by other communities. You are a true patriot of India and glad to see that you point the fact Kashmiri muslims have behaved disgracefully towards transfer of land on a temporary basis to shelter old and the poor. It is unfortunate that most minority communities are blinded by false propaganda (be it by news media or by false leaders). In this country minority religious institution enjoys more power and money because the same laws don't govern everyone. The muslim community especially ranks their religion much before their country.
